Optimized design of rainwater harvesting system in gymnasium

The significance of rainwater harvesting system (RHS) in gymnasium, an important urban building for 2008 Olympics in Beijing, was analyzed. The characteristics of rainwater harvesting in gymnasium was summarized. Different harvesting systems in gymnasium should be adopted due to the distinct conditions in weather, geology, water resource, rainwater quality, architecture and harvesting purposes, etc. Conventional and novel RHSs in gymnasium were recommended. Principle outline in optimizing design of RHS in gymnasiums were also summarized.
