An Overlapping Red Cell Separating Algorithm Based on Variational Radius and Boundary Filling
It calculates the optimizing radius R, first for those in the original image, that leaves half or more than half picture of the red cell, it gets picture near or equal the centre of a circle by making near or equal radius R image eroding, then gets separated red cell image by making near or equal radius R image dilation. For those in the original image, that leaves less than half picture of red cell lies near the boundary, it extends the boundary by half of the radius R, then processes the overlapping red cells picture with the same method aforementioned. When intercepting by the original image window, it can get separated red cell images. Because it adopts variational radius and boundary filling, all the overlapping red cells can be separated with a pixel radius range of about R.
