An Approach for Reconstructing Mathematical Formulas in Printed Document

摘要：

Mathematicalformulasrecognitionisan important stage in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system.Formulas reconstruction is the last step in recognition.Reconstructing mathematical formulas from formula relation tree that is resulted from structure analysis is a key problem in automatic conversion of printed document into electronic form.We propose an approach for reconstruction based on MathML and design a formula editor to re-edit formulas. The experiments show that this proposed method can obtain satisfactory results and the MathML specification can be compatible with the formula tool in the prevalent word processing software.
