Sliding Mode Control of Uncertain Piecewise Linear Systems with Input Delays
This paper provides a sliding mode control method for a class of input-delay piecewise linear systems with unmatched uncertainties based on new invariant conditions. A new state transformation and a coordinate transformation methods are proposed for the purpose of controller design. The controller is constructed to guarantee that the motions of sliding surfaces are exponentially convergent to the desired manifolds with an arbitrary pre-specified decay rate. The reduced-order sliding mode dynamics are also exponentially convergent to a ball such that the effect of unmatched uncertainties in the sliding mode is eliminated. A numerical example is included to illustrate the proposed method.
