Sensitivity of Criterion Weights to the Normalization of Decision Matrix in MCDM

This paper investigates how the normalization methods on decision matrix influence the criterion weights. Three methods are employed to normalize the decision matrix, i.e., the vector normalization method, the linear scale transformation method and the proportion transformation method. Accordingly,the criterion weights are obtained based on the entropy measure method and the objective optimization method. The study on the sensitivity of criterion weights to the normalization of decision matrix gives guidance for multiple criteria decision making.
