Data Grid for Resource Management in Distance Education

摘要：

It is confronted with many difficulties to share the resources in Chinese distance education. To conquer these difficulties, the Data Grid is a wonderful solution because it has been successfully applied in many large-scale data-intensive projects all over the world. In the paper, we present a scalable hierarchical topology for resource management of Chinese distance education. Furthermore, we explain how to design and implement the Metadata Services based on the hierarchical topology with the Globus Toolkit.
