Ascending Intercultural Competence: an Effective Way to Deal with Transnational Corporation Crisis
Transnational corporations (TNCs) doing business in the intercultural environment have to deal with various crisis events inevitably. A number of internationally known brands including Nestle, Sony, Johnson, KFC and Heinz suffered the scandals in china in the past year. The misplays in response to the crisis events attracted more attention.From the intercultural view, the causes of TNC crisis events in china are analyzed and the fact that low intercultural competence of the enterprise attributed to the crisis is revealed. On basis of conceptualization of enterprise intercultural competence, ascending intercultural competence as an effective way to deal with the TNC crisis is put forward.
