Role of chemical reaction engineering in catalysis

The subject of chemical reaction engineering has significant economic and technological value and plays an important role in the catalysis, especially in the area of heterogeneous catalysis. Solid catalysts found applications in many reactions of both industrial and environmental importance. This short article focuses on the understanding of principles like various reactors, adsorption, mass transfer, and diffusion limitations.
