ADAPTIVE IDENTIFICATION AND CONTROL OF HYSTERESIS FOR PIEZOELECTRIC ACTUATOR
Hysteresis hinders the effective use of piezoelectric actuators. This paper addresses the parameters identification and adaptive inverse control method of hysteresis for piezoelectric actuator, where hysteresis is modeled by a new mathematical model. An adaptive inverse control scheme is developed for reducing hysteresis. The weights of inverse hysteresis model are identified by using least-mean-squares algorithm. Practical issues in the implementation of the adaptive identification and inverse control methods are also investigated. The experimental results based on a piezoelectric actuator are provided to illustrate the proposed approach.
