AHGAPIC Multi-user Detector for Dual Rate W-CDMA Systems
Adaptive hybrid genetic algorithm parallel interference cancellation (AHGAPIC) is proposed. A brief analysis is then given to the theoretical basis and practical performance of dual rate multi-user detection using AHGAPIC. The emulation results have shown that the AHGAPIC multi-user detector outperforms not only the conventional receiver but also the improved parallel interference cancellation multi-user detector and the genetic algorithm parallel interference cancellation multi-user detector in terms of both the mitigation of multiple access interference and the resistance on near-far effects. Its performance is close to the sequential group optimum multi-user detector.
