A new AODV based clustering routing protocol
AODV is a mature and widely accepted routing protocol for Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANET), it has low processing and memory overhead and low network utilization, and works well even in high mobility situation, but it has scalable problem for large mobile networks.In this paper, we proposed a AODV based clustering routing protocol (called AODV-Clustering) which can effectively solve this problem and also keep the merits of AODV. The protocol works on AODV method first,then it changes to a clustering routing protocol gradually. The paper introduced this protocol and its simulation using JiST/SWANS, which is a new simulator for MANET, and also presented a simulation-based evaluation, the result confirmed the effectiveness of our design.
