Preliminary research on the gold porphyry, Nagarze, Tibet
The study on the alluvial gold deposits has not been continuously over several decades around the Nagarze, Tibet. The area has been identified as a prospective area for looking for some hard rock gold deposits. Over the past decade, the Institute of Geology Survey, Tibet has conducted a number of regional prospecting surveys involving the broad spaced stream geochemical sampling programs. Recent geological survey has discovered a central porphyry complex at an elevation of 5500m which comprises the quartz-feldspar porphyry and dioritic porphyry intrusions with strong pyritic alteration, this area then is thought to be related to a large and strong gold mineralized porphyry suite.
