The Feng-Rao Designed Minimum Distance for Binary Linear Codes Does Not Have an Odd Number Except One
The definition of the Feng-Rao designed minimum distance dFR,first introduced into algebraic geometry codes, has been extended to the case of general linear codes by Miura. This paper shows that dFR of binary linear codes is equal to either one or an even number if we use Miuras definition of dFR.
