Study on Some Quantization Issues for Decoding of Low-Density Parity Check Code with BP Algorithm
In this paper, the quantization pattern for the BP (Belief propagation) decoding algorithm of LDPC(Low-Density Parity Check) code is studied. The effect of the bound, level and other parameters for quantization are discussed, and, the good performance of quantizational method and some good results are obtained. At the mean time, we also found the method that the mid-variables of BP decoding algorithm are large level quantized, which can improve the performance and reduce the error floor of LDPC codes at the large ratio of signal-to-noise.
