Fast bit reverse using the Share processor with application to OFDM systems
The fast Fourier transform (FFT) and inverse FFT (IFFT) play an important role in the implementation and performance of the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In this paper we describe a fast bit-reverse algorithm for the FFT and IFFT transforms, in order to improve the computation of the OFDM system. This bit reverse algorithm uses the architectural features of existing digital signal processors (DSP) hardware to bit reverse the index of the input data and achieve very fast shuffling time.Test result, and comparison with other well-known bit-reverse algorithms,using the Sharc processor, are given.
