SOME PROGRESS ON GAS BEARING CRYOGENIC TURBO-EXPANDER IN CHINA

摘要：

The developing process of gas bearing cryogenic turbo-expander in China during the last 30 years is summarized. Various turbo-expanders, which have been successfully applied in some cryogenic fields such as small scale gas liquefaction and separation plants of gas processing industry and helium refrigerators etc., are described in details. A comprehensive overview is presented for ongoing efforts at Xian Jiaotong University in support of gas bearing turbo-expanders, especially their important rotating support parts----various externally-pressurized (EP) and self-acting gas bearings.
