PHASE EQUILIBRIUM CALCULATION FOR A REFRIGERANGT MIXTURE
A thermal physical property--phase equilibrium for R142b/R134a/R23/R14 mixture refrigerant is predicted in this paper. The main equilibrium properties of the mixture are calculation using the cubic equation of state, including P-V-T parameters, enthalpy and entropy. The calculation results are shown as the pressure-enthalpy diagram and table. The isotherm curves and the phase equilibrium curve formulated from the calculation results are presented in this pressure-enthalpy diagram. Those models provide important data for cycle analysis for the system using the kind of the mixture.In the technology of refrigeration, Joule-Thomson effects were used in the mixed-gases refrigeration cycle. This cycle had already used in the area of gas liquefaction in the last century. However the efficiency of pure gas Joule-Thompson refrigeration cycles is very low in the temperature of 120-150K. In this temperature areas which need higher pressure and will arranged in the opening system. The applications are limited (Liu Zhigang. 1997). On the other hand, the forbidden of CFCs bought tremendous strike to the refrigerant of daily used. So used new or existing pure refrigerant composing as new refrigerant mixture will be the most valuable scheme in the near future. From the 1930s, refrigerant mixture were using in the Joule-Thompson refrigeration which depress the operating pressure. During the latter decades, single-stage mixed-refrigerant refrigeration cycle had been well developed. Now some products of mixed-refrigerant refrigeration cycle had been found. The research of mixed-refrigerant refrigeration cycle now had already become a heat study around the refrigeration areas. Thermodynamic properties of refrigerant are the base of cycle analysis and calculation in the refrigeration. In order to design with high efficiency of mixed-refrigerant refrigeration cycle, the phase equilibrium analysis and research of thermodynamic properties are very important. Many researchers in and abroad had already published some correlate paper, mostly about two or three kinds of refrigerants (Liu Zhigang, 2005) (Outcalt.S.L, 1995). If we want to reach the temperature areas of 120-150K, four kinds or more refrigerants are needed. So the analysis of phase equilibrium and thermodynamic properties of refrigerant mixtures are very important to the study.
