CFD ANALYSIS OF EJECTOR IN AN EJECTOR COOLING SYSTEM
In this paper, the CFD results are validated with available experimental data. The validation shows that results from CFD predict the performance of the ejector with great accuracy. Several designs for an ejector cooling system are modeled by using CFD techniques to resolve the flow dynamics in the ejectors. Predictions at the operating conditions in an ejector cooling system and flow conditions resulting from ejector geometry variations are discussed. It is found that the variations of ejector geometry parameters affect the performance of the ejector. The optimum throat area ratio and ideal stream nozzle position are determined for a given operating condition. It is also found that there is an optimum primary fluid pressure when the other conditions are given. Similarly, there is an optimum outlet pressure when the other conditions are given.
