SURFACE TENSION OF 1,1,1,3,3-PENTAFLUOROPROPANE (HFC-245fa) FROM 223 TO 373K

The surface tension of saturated 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245fa) has been measured with a differential capillary rise method (DCRM) under vapor-liquid equilibrium conditions. Thirty-one experimental data points have been obtained in the temperature range from 223 to 373 K. The uncertainties of temperature are less than ±10 mK (ITS-90). The uncertainties of surface tension measurements were estimated to be less than ±0.2 mN·m-1. The results were correlated as functions of temperature, van der Waals type and polynomial type.
