EXPERIMENTAL MEASUREMENTS OF CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF R-22 IN PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS
The present study has been conducted on condensation heat transfer characteristics of the brazed plate heat exchanger using refrigerant R-22 as a condenser. In this study of R-22 condensation heat transfer in the vertical plate heat exchangers, the experimental conditions are saturation pressure of 1.19 ~ 1.53 MPa, refrigerant mass flux of 35 ~ 65 kg/m2s, heat flux of 2.67 kW/m2. The present study, the condensation heat transfer coefficients has been observed with the refrigerant vapor quality varied from 0.9 to 0.1. The condensation heat transfer coefficient apparently increases with increasing the vapor quality. The condensation heat transfer coefficient slightly increases with decreasing saturation pressures and with increasing refrigerant mass flux. An appropriately proposed correlation for R-22 has less error ±15.5% in comparison with the experimental data.
