EXPERIMENTAL CHARACTERISATION OF A NOVEL ADSORBER HEAT EXCHANGER FOR DESSICANT COOLING APPLICATIONS
This article deals with a new system for dessicant cooling. This system is made of two heat exchangers filled with adsorbent material. These exchangers work alternatively one drying fresh air while the other one is regenerated. The aim is to propose an alternative to dessicant wheels generally used in dessicant cooling. Indeed, because of their cost, desiccant wheels use limit the possibilities of installing such systems for small residential air-conditioning. First results are presented as well as some leads for further development.
