EFFECT OF LOCAL CO2 RELEASE OF REFRIGERATION AND UPTAKE OF VEGETATION ON THE GLOBAL WARMING
One of the most common methods applied for “eco–efficiency considerations of “greenhouse gases and “refrigeration systems is based on the calculation of TEWI (Total Equivalent Warming Impact). It has been already proved that vegetation plays significant roles in global carbon cycle furthermore that one together with other ecosystem components is mainly/mostly net carbon absorber. It could be and should be involved into TEWI by an additional section marking by TEWIv on C sequestration of a particular area of the Globe for e.g. a particular region of Hungary. In the paper calculation method and equations on TEWIv, furthermore data on parameters and a case study on the calculation are presented. TEWIv makes possible to evaluate more precisely the effect of the refrigeration system installed at a particular region to the change of local ecosystem and its contribution to the global warming. Also, it expresses how the vegetation existing at a particular region could be taken into account to determine the emission quota for a particular country.
