LOOKING AT THERMAL COMFORT AND ENERGY-SAVING OF EXHIBITION BUILDINGS FROM DESIGN CONDITIONS

As we all know, the World EXPRO will be held in Shanghai on May to October, 2010. How to make an exhibition building both comfortable and energy-saving in summer has become a hot topic. The paper investigated the relative air-conditioning engineering cases and reports of 23 exhibition buildings, and analyzed the characteristics of some design conditions used in air-conditioning system of exhibition buildings in summer, such as indoor design temperature, relative humidity, velocity, fresh air requirement and so on. Through the contrasts and analyses of design conditions in different buildings, it is found that indoor design temperature of 25~27℃ and relative humidity of 50~65% are adopted in the investigated exhibition halls. The ratio of buildings whose fresh air requirement is between 10 and 20 m3/(h·p) is 82% and that of the buildings whose fresh air requirement is 20 m3/(h·p) can reach up to 36%. By analyzing PMV values, the paper provided the range of indoor temperature and humidity satisfying the standard of GB50019-2003 and ISO7730. And by analyzing the indoor load, the paper presented the reduced load with the indoor design conditions. Finally, the occupant density and fresh air requirement were discussed on the views of health and energy consumption.
