SIMULATION OF AIR-COOLED SCROLL HEAT PUMP
Air-cooled scroll heat pump is one of the most efficient, environmentally friendly ways to heat and cool buildings. It is composed of scroll compressor, tube-fin heat exchanger (air cooled or heated), plate heat exchanger and expansive valve. Based on the distributed parameter methods as well as mass conservation, energy conservation and pressure equilibrium, theoretical models of four main components and refrigeration system were established. The performance of a certain air-cooled scroll heat pump system for refrigerant R-134a was simulated. Effects of flow rate and temperature of cooling water, indoor air temperature on the system performance were studied. The simulation results provide the basis for the optimal design of air-cooled scroll heat pump components and system.
