Optimal Process Parameters for Two Processes Based on Product Uniformity Criteria Using lot by lot inspection sampling plan
This paper considers the problem of setting process target for the two stage production process. The quality of the resulting product is determined by two quality characteristics, one of them depends on the setting of the first process and the second depends on the setting of both processes. Products are produced in lots for which acceptance sampling plans are used for quality assurance purpose. The objective is to determine process targets (means) for both processes that minimize the total loss determined by costs of rework and inspection.
