The Decision Making Behavior of Entrepreneurs: A Theoretical and Empirical Research

Risk-taking behavior of entrepreneurs has been probed at abroad by some economists like Kahneman. However, it is seldom involved in China. Based on the decision behavior theory and behavioral economics, the risk-taking behavior of entrepreneurs when making entrepreneurial decisions is deeply and systemically researched by the questionnaire and statistic test method. Factors tested for entrepreneurs risk-taking behavior mainly involve risk preference, risk perception, entrepreneurs endowment, expected return and the environment. The conclusion is that risk perception and expected return are the two most direct and significant factors, which accords with the decision making model of behavioral economics.
