Intrapreneurial Competency of Sci-tech SMEs under Chinese Background and Its Relationship with Performance
Extant literatures have explored the content and dimensions of intrapreneurial competency, but few of them have examined its application under Chinese background. By using a sample of 220 employees from 95 Chinese science and technology SMEs, this paper filled this void. Exploratory factor analysis indicates that the construct consists of seven dimensions: new business venturing, innovativeness, self-renewal, proactiveness, organization learning, network harmony, social intercourse. However, subsequent correlation and regression analysis demonstrates only new business venturing, innovativeness, self-renewal, proactiveness are related to performance. The implications and future research directions were discussed at the end of the paper.
