On Innovative Product Design Using KANO Model in Modularized QFD
To better respond to a dynamic market, this paper introduces the use of modularized QFD for designing multiple products simultaneously. There are two major phases that will be elaborated in this paper, namely, the design of multiple products phase and the modularized QFD phase. Using Moores chasm model, it is worth noting that both of the phases discussed in this paper fit into the growth phase or the early majority phase. Thus, it is particularly suitable for product diversification or platform design innovation purpose. The degree of innovation is limited into the same basic product with a variety of new/innovative features.
