Intellectual Property Risk Assessment in Cooperative R&D ——A Model Based on Neural Network and Genetic Algorithms

Recently, cooperative R&D has become a widely accepted technology innovation strategy. However enterprises which are willing to obtain advantages through cooperative R&D, have to confront risks of leakage, spillover of their own intellectual property rights because of the externality of knowledge assets. As a result it is of great importance for Enterprises involving in cooperative R&D to accurately assess the intellectual property risk in cooperation. But unfortunately, assessment of intellectual property risk has not gained systematic analysis and study although they are often found in papers or reports of many academics and risk Counselors. So this paper constructs a model based on neural network and genetic algorithms and the ability of this model to assess intellectual property risk is examined through survey data as test samples.
