Investigation of the Motivating Factors Influencing Team Learning
Apart from absorption of knowledge by individual as he learns, group interactions contribute towards each others learning as well. The aim of this study is to investigate the motivating effects of various factors on team learning. Research has identified several motivational factors and their effects on individual learning. Here, we study whether they also have any motivational effects in the process of team learning. A set of motivational factors are tested for their correlation with team learning using a group of university students as our subjects. Quantitative and qualitative questionnaires are used to survey the subjects at different stages of their semester long study period in this longitudinal research. The results allow us to examine the relationship between motivation and team learning and offer recommendations on how to motivate people in learning teams.
