A Fuzzy Approach to Transfer Efficiency of Enterprise Resource
For a long time, there is a concealed postulate that resources can be sufficiently transferred from target firm to acquiring firm when people assess expected synergies in M&A activities. In fact, it is very difficult to transfer resources, especially strategic resources according to resource-based theory of the firm. The resource transfer efficiency should be taken into consideration for its practical significance to distinguish the responsibilities between the board of Directors and the management and for evaluating targets effectively and enhancing the performance of the M&A. Based on the resource-based theory of the firm, this paper builds up a classification chart for enterprises resources in accordance with the difficult degree of resource transfer and the contribution to synergy. This paper also constructs a systematic framework to measure resource transfer efficiency and gives a general description on the basis of resources classifications. At last, we construct a fuzzy overall evaluation model to enterprise resource transfer by using fuzzy and AHP method, which provides a scientific, practical and quantitative research method to analyze and evaluate target systematically in M&A.
