A Fuzzy Evaluation Model for IvT-based Open Innovation Capacity

Research issue of open innovation is getting more and more attention. Evaluating firms capacity for open innovation seems practical and valuable. This paper proposes a fuzzy evaluation approach for innovation technology (IvT)-based open innovation capacity. The method combines objective measurement with experts professional view points, and proposes optimistic and pessimistic deffuzfication that make the evaluation more accessible and flexible. Finally, the output categorizes companies under evaluation into laggard, average, and advance grade. The proposed method provides a feasible and valuable pattern for the preliminary evaluation of IvT-based open innovation.
