The Dynamic Spreading Linkage Effect of the High-tech Industries: An Empirical Analysis

By calculating the influence and induction coefficient, this paper has carried on the empirical analysis on the dynamic spreading linkage effect of high-tech industries based on input-output table. We hold that high-tech industries industrial spreading linkage mechanism should be given full play to and with which the economic growth will be brought along strikingly. Industrial linkage mechanism reflects the forward and backward continuous reaction among the different industries in national economy. Those high-tech industries which are characterized with forward linkage such as the information transmission industry belonging to induction spreading type should be gotten leading developed otherwise will result in damping effect on economic growth; while those industries characterized with backward linkage such as household audiovisual manufacturing industry and computer services and software industry should be coordinated developed with industries of forward linkage for the purpose of steady increase of national economy. In the mean while for those industries with higher induction and influence coefficient and strong spreading linkage effect, the industry chain should be prolonged such as electronic parts and components industry and computer manufacturing industry, also the industrial linkage degree should be improved and the landscape orientation dependence relation among industries should be strengthened.The conclusions show that electronics and telecommunications equipment manufacturing sector has strong spreading linkage effect on traditional sectors and other high-tech sectors which demonstrate its characteristics of high-tech leading sector. The preferential development of such industry by virtue of industrial linkage mechanism will lead to technological advance and industrial structure upgrading and in the long run bring along economic growth.
