Reinvent the Rules of Innovation through Connectivity
While most companies have already realized the importance of innovation, the effects of connectivity on the innovation process remain largely undiscovered. Connectivity is the progeny of our networked economy, and business managers need to understand its impact on the four stages of the innovation life cycle, the importance of diversity, and the organizational energy and resources necessary to unlock the potential of connected innovation. In this paper, how to integrate innovation process along the innovation life cycle, and how to collaborative different units (intra-firm or inter-firm) to introduce breakthrough (world-first) innovations via distributed development to form the snowball effects were described and discussed.
