Connections between Work-related Values and Readiness to Change in Chinese Organizations
This study contributes to our understanding of how work related values, including ethics, are connected with the readiness to change in Chinese organizations. The author examines the influence of organizational culture and work related values on attitudes toward change and organizational learning. Empirical research in Chinese organizations indicates that relationship orientation of organizational culture predicts attitudes toward change better than task orientation of organizational culture. Well-established ethical values are especially important for achieving cooperation and the mutual exchange of knowledge between people with firm professional interests.
