Regional Distribution of R&D Investment in China
In 2006, we downloaded data from website of BNS and Ministry of S&T of China. Through data processing and analyzing, we found that the regional Distribution was unbalanced. Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Shandong had invested most on R&D, whereas Tibet, Hainan, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang just had invested little. On the whole, the results show that the more R&D a province has invested on, the more patents and science and technology trading volume it has reached. There were some strange: Beijing had invested on R&D most, but not had the most patents. Guangdongs R&D investment was two thirds of Beijings, but the number of patents of the former was three times as much as that of the latter. In the all, it is concluded that the regional R&D investment in China was unbalanced, and it should had been affect the number of patents and science and technology trading volume on the whole.
