Study on Risk and Benefits Sharing Problem of Virtual R&D Alliance Based on Project
With the market competition increasingly intense, the speeding of development of science and technology, and the implement of enterprises global operational strategy, virtual research and development(R&D in brief) alliance which takes product development as it mission catches eyes of modern enterprise managers, and more and more enterprises build up strategic technological alliance to form a system so as to cooperate in technology innovation from the view point of system and optimization of the entirety. Thus, reasonable allocation of risks and benefits sharing become the key factors in achieving anticipate cooperative aims and maintaining the stability of the R&D alliance. In this paper, first, the background of virtual R&D alliance based on project and its advantages are introduced. According to the virtual R&D alliance based on project, the uncertainty of technology innovation results in high risk, so it is very important for innovation success of the virtual R&D alliance that all risks are scientifically identified and assessed in the process of cooperative technology innovation. The risks of R&D alliance partners are analyzed and identified, then based on G1 method, the risks evaluation model for technology innovation of each R &D alliance partners is established, and in the end, a kind of revenue allocation method is given according to the principal that the revenue should be corresponding to the risk and the input of each alliance partner. The revenue allocation method has certain incentive effect for R&D alliance partners because of the revenues increase with the risk and the input. At the end of this paper, through application analysis, we explain how to use this method in actual problems. The results show the feasibility and validity of the method. The research supplies a new and scientific way for allocation of risks and benefits sharing problem of virtual R&D alliance based on project.
