Organizational Innovativeness in Public Research Institutes
Organizations that aim at being competitive and seek for continous growth need to be innovative. This study explores the level of innovative and the relationship between work environment construct and organizational innovativeness (OI) in public research institutions. Respondents were 170 research officers from three public research entities involve in agricultural science. Multiple regression analysis recorded the value of R2 of 0.69 (above 0.50). Overall, all five constructs that is support, information and communication, leadership, project development and project implementation having influence of 0.69 percent on OI. It was also found that only support construct affected organizational innovativeness at around 56 percent. Results from multiple regression and Pearson Correlation tests show that support construct has a strong relationship with OI.
