Knowledge Sharing and Innovative Performance Improvement among Firms in the Industrial Cluster fromthe Perspective of Social Capital
The concept of cluster has recently received much attention by scholars in the fields of economics and management. The geographical clustering of firms can facilitate inter-firm learning and the transfer of knowledge, so as to enhance the innovation process of the firms. Based on the relevant literature review on knowledge transfer in the context of industrial cluster and social capital, this paper analyzes the impact of social interaction, inter-organizational identity and relationship quality on the knowledge sharing and thus on the innovative performance improvement for the firms in the cluster, proposes a conceptual framework and some hypotheses for further empirical study as well as some advice for future research.
