Context-centered Knowledge Management for Learning Software Organizations
To solve some problems and difficulties faced in the process of knowledge management (KM) implementation, a Context-Centered KM (C2KM) approach is proposed to creating learning software organizations. Firstly we discuss the concept of C2KM and its approach in which context is integrated with KM activities adaptively. Then a context model is put forward in software organizations, which describes context in a multi-dimension, layered mode. And how context is associated with knowledge objects and queries is discussed. A feedback loop to build the context model and its application is also illustrated. A case study was given for illustrating the application of the C2KM approach in a software organization finally. Experimental results indicate that our approach to improve KM is both effective and efficient.
