Measuring the Regional Innovation Capability of Innovative City: Lessons from Zhejiang Province

摘要：

This paper analyses to which extent and in what way Zhejiang province may be considered as an innovative city. Based on the theory of the concept of innovative city, regional innovative capability regional competitiveness and, national innovation system, we set up the evaluation system of innovative city. Based on the data of Zhejiang province from 2001 to 2005, and compared with another 31 cities in China, Zhejiang is considered as an innovative city. Finally we suggest several ways to accelerate regional innovation capability construction and draw possible directions for further research.
