Empirical Analysis of Regions R&D Performance Evaluation of Western Areas of China
Research and development (R&D) activity is the most innovative core in the Region Innovation System. R&D is an important guideline of technology standard of countries and regions. Changes of Regional R&D Activities are of importance both in the establishment of Countrys Innovation System and Regional Innovation System process. There are many methods to evaluate R&D performance now. Establishing Evaluation Guideline System to analyze it contrastively by International Organizations such as OECD is a traditional analysis method currently overseas. Instead many scholars use DEA method to evaluate it at home. This paper use factor analysis method to evaluate R&D performance with interrelated data of Western China. It is empirically discovered that the factor analysis method can reveal facts objectively and avoid artificial influence in R&D performance evaluation process of Western in China.
