Study on Dynamic Effect of Power-Law Fluid Laminar in the Inlet Region through Round Pipe
We have deduced the boundary layer energy integral equation of power-law fluid through round pipe flow to analysis problem of flow resistance in short pipe of hydraulic machine. Then, by solving the energy integral equation, the development of the boundary layer in the inlet region and coefficients of the inlet region effect are analyzed and calculated. Furthermore, the effects of flow-index (n)of power-law fluid and inlet region various coefficients were discussed. The results show that modified coefficient of volumetric flow rate and pressure loss coefficients is great currently during the short inlet region, so volumetric flow rate and pressure must be modified. Specially, in the case of n=l(Newtonian fluid), the solutions in this paper are completely identical with those in Ref3.
