Criterion and Erosion Mechanism of Cavitation Jet
Researches on cavitation jet, mechanism of cavitation are introduced. Rationality of cavitation number which is used to describe cavitationt is discussed. It is found that cavitation condition cannot be concluded from cavitatoin number. To cavitate jet in high pressure environment, special decompression measure must be taken. Problems of Rayleigh equation for calculating impulsion pressure under annihilation of cavity to explain the fact that cavitation jet is of greater power to break target object than common jet are analyzed. A new explanation of is formed that target surface pressure pulse from density changes of cavitation jet which contain cavity is the main factor breaking target more effectively.
