Simulation Study of Solenoid Pilot Direction Valve in Hydraulic Support
The solenoid pilot direction valve is a key component in hydraulic support which is used to support the roof of the tunnels in the coal mining. The static and dynamic characteristic of the valve affects the performance of hydraulic support. Simulation has been done on the power amplifier of the solenoid and the distribution of magnetic field in solenoid. The mathematical models of the solenoid, the pilot valve, and the main valve are built in the AMESIM, a hydraulic simulation software. The motion mechanism and the characteristics of the static and dynamic response of the valve are analyzed with the consideration of the influence of the geometry parameter. As the result of the research work, the following advantages have been proved on the studied solenoid pilot direction valve: energy-saving, fast dynamic response, and high sealing performance. Further more, the simulation study provides the theoretical model for the future design and update of the valve.
