Numerical Simulation of Pumping Channel in Pneumatic Vacuum Generator Consisting of Two Cylinders
Comparing to current widely-used vacuum ejectors, the pneumatic vacuum system consisting of two cylinders (PVSTC for short) has the merits of lower supply pressure and less air consumption, so it has a great application prospect. The vacuum response time of the PVSTC is a key performance criterion, which is concerned with the effective pumping speed. For pumping speed, the flowing property of channel in vacuum generator is a key factor. In this paper, based on numerical simulation of flow field, the factor which affect pumping speed, such as reciprocating speed, diameter and structure of the channel are analyzed and then the structure of the channel is improved according to the simulation results. Experiments are conducted to verify the theoretical analysis and they show a good result.
