A Novel Design of Hydraulic Motor-vane Pump with Auxiliary Centrifugal Pump
A new design of a hydraulic motor-pump called the hydraulic motor-vane pump is put forward. It consists of electric motor, vane pump and a novel centrifugal pump to improve the suction performance of the vane pump, which is a new compact hydraulic power unit. It has many advantages such as compact structure, low noise, high efficiency and no exterior leakage flow.In the designed structure, the rotor of electric motor and that of vane pump are skillfully integrated with a centrifugal pump. Based on the 3D CFD analysts with FLUENT code, internal flow field of motor-vane pump is studied. A pore-plate centrifugal pump is put forward and its structure and configuration is optimized. By this way, a hydraulic motor-vane pump with optimal oil flow was obtained.The ratio of its whole volume to that of traditional fluid power unit including an electric motor and a vane pump is 36%, so the design structure is highly integrative and obviously innovative.
