Investigation of the Controlled Volume and the Pressure Pulsation of the Roller Radial Piston Pump
The objective of this research is to investigate the controlled volume and the pressure pulsation of the radial piston pump. There are two main reasons which lead to the pressure volume varied with the rotating of the cylinder which rotates with around the shaft. The first reason is related to the displacement of the piston, which is called physical volume. Because the roller contacts with the outer ring tightly, the displacement of the piston affects the executive volume directly. Another reason is due to the liquid compressibility. The employed liquid medium will be compressed or expanded as the pressure changes abruptly.This paper describes how the pistons displacement influents the change ratio of the controlled volume and the pressure within it. Displacement, velocity, and acceleration of the piston are studied. The change ratio of the controlled volume is also modeled.
