Stress and Forces Analysis between the Cylinder Bores and the Pistons of Roller Radial Piston Pump
In this research, the forces between the pistons and the cylinder bores are modeled and analyzed. Unlike the traditional pump (axial or radial pump), this pump omits the slippers and adopt the rollers served as the component contact on the outer stator ring directly. The contact stress between the pistons and the cylinder bores is variable in the circumferential direction according to the shape and the contact model of the machine. So the frictions between the couple components should be in three dimension form, and cannot be simply transferred into two dimensions.Taking the 3 dimensions frictions, stress and inertia forces into consideration, pistons kinematics motion is modeled, and the equation set of forces is deduced. Numerical results from the compressive nonlinear equations show that where the highest stress zone is and also locate the weak point. By altering the factor parameters, the simulation illustrates that some measures can be taken to minimize the contact stress, strength the reliability, and prolong the Service life of the pump.
