P-Q Valve in an Electrohydraulic Load Sensing Servo System
One of the promising technique for the energy saving of the electrohydraulic servo control system is the application of load sensing control. The various schemes of the electrohydraulic load sensing servo system, including single-directional and bi-directional control of the cylinder are first introduced and analyzed; the key control component P-Q valve is particularly emphasized. The mathematical model of the P-Q valve is then established, based on the theory of linear system and the static and the dynamic characteristics of the valve is analyzed and discussed. Under the condition that the hydraulic natural frequency of the bypass valve is large enough so that the compressibility of the oil within valve sensitive chamber is negligible, the load sensing mechanism and P-Q valve can maintain stability themselves Finally an experimental system is designed to obtain the practical properties of the valve and it is demonstrated that the properties can meet the requirement of the load sensing servo control.
